New Show at the Artisan Depot
Franklin County Arts Guild brings a new show from one of the members of the Artisan Depot in Cowan. The Artisan Depot is an outreach of the Guild and provides a venue for local artists to exhibit and sell their work as well as a place for emerging artists of all ages to display their work.
The Member Show features the work of Mackie Priest Jr. a contributing artist at the Artisan Depot and member of the Guild for about 5 years. Mackie’s major when he attended Motlow was in art. He has also taken classes at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg and at the J.C. Campbell Folk School in Murphy, N.C.
The community is cordially invited to attend the opening reception for this show today (Friday) Sept. 1, at 5 p.m. Help us celebrate this young man’s great artistic ability with this great show and other arts and crafts in the gallery.
The Artisan Depot is operated by the Franklin County Arts Guild and is located at 204 Cumberland St. East, Cowan. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
